While our Texas course is self paced. State of Texas law requires you to put in 6 hours in total in our course. Our system will save your progress when you logoff in the middle of your course so you can always resume when you are free.
Our online defensive driving school is licensed by TDLR.
In Texas, when a driver is issued a traffic ticket, generally the court would require the defendant to complete our Defensive Driving Course. Upon completion of this course we will give you a completion certificate which you can provide to your court by mail, fax, email or in person. When you follow this steps as part of your agreement with the court, they will not add points to your record.

As part of our licensing requirement with the State of Texas, we must verify a student's identity when they take chapter quizzes. We will ask you questions related to your personal information. Since this information is drawn from your history, it is very unlikely you would fail. However if you fail 30% of these questions, we will ask you to submit a Student Affidavit to ensure you took the course yourself and not with an outside help.

Our defensive driving course has total of 11 short chapters. While some users might think 11 chapters are too many to read, one thing we want to point out is that if you fail a chapter quiz you will have to re-read the chapter again. Therefor having shorter chapter will help you repeat it again if needed in shorter time. We designed the course in a way on how we would like to take this course and this was the best way to serve our customer.

You must complete all 11 chapters of the course and pass the 11 chapter quizzes in order to receive a Certificate of Completion. Urban Traffic School will issue a Certificate of Completion within 24-48 hours if participants meet and complete all the requirements for the course. Your certificate will be sent to you via Email unless you have selected faster processing options like USPS First Class Mail, FedEx 3-day, FedEx 2-day or FedEx Overnight.
