Virginia Traffic School
Welcome to Urban Traffic School’s online Driver Improvement Clinic Program for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Your decision, willingness, and effort to participate in this course give you an opportunity to learn to drive more alertly, efficiently, and safely. Urban Traffic School has combined years of industry experience as well as professional outside sources to design and implement this driver education program. The aim of this course is to help you become a better, safer driver. We hope you share what you will learn with family and friends.
By participating and successfully completing this 8 hour, Driver Improvement Clinic Program, no points will be assessed for the traffic violation for which you are attending for as long as all your fine/fee obligations have been met with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and or the Court.
Driver Improvement Clinic Program Timer
In this course, each page contains timers as required by the state government to ensure that you spend the same amount of time on this course as you would in a classroom course. You will not be able to move forward in the course until the page timer has stopped. The student must spend a minimum of 8 hours (480 minutes) on the course. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Testing and Grading
At the end of each chapter, you will take a 10–question multiple choice, true/false quiz that reviews important content from that chapter. You must pass each quiz with a score of 80% or higher to move on to the next chapter. You will be provided with feedback on any incorrect responses and have a chance to retake the quiz. The quizzes do not affect your final exam score.
You must also take and pass a 50–question multiple-choice, true/false final exam after completing all course chapters. You must score 80% or higher on the final exam to pass the exam and to receive course completion. Failure to answer correctly 80% of the final exam questions will result in a course failure and the course fee will not be refunded. Per DMV regulations in the Commonwealth, the final exam must be proctored. This means the student will need to go to one of our testing locations, during their proctoring hours and complete the final exam online at the proctored testing center.
Completion Requirements
You must complete all 6 chapters of the course, pass the 6 chapter quizzes and pass the final exam in order to receive a Certificate of Completion. Each individual chapter must be completed before moving on to another chapter. Urban Traffic School will issue a Certificate of Completion only if participants meet and complete all the requirements for the course.
